INTRODUCING: SOUTHBOUND

Forged in Cardiff but uniting talents from Swansea to London, Southbound have sprung onto the city’s music scene with a bang that delivers smack-in-the-face indie rock. Woven with heartfelt lyricism that captures the highs and lows of youth, romance, and the pursuit of escape, the five piece have cast their nets and have begun securing their name within the community.

Almost Fleetwood Mac-esque in their vocal interplay, the band's two lead vocalists deliver lush intertwined harmonies and back and forths that effortlessly balance power and vulnerability, becoming a defining feature of their distinctive soundscapes.

The band have found themselves supporting the likes of Brook Fox and The Rogues, as well as receiving welcomed reception in renowned venues across South Wales. Soon they’ll be setting off to the Big City, taking part in the highly anticipated North to South Festival across landmark London venues. 

To date they have released two singles; their debut - ‘Backseat Lover’ - and their latest ‘Chameleon’ - both different in pace and style. ‘Backseat Lover’ was written for festival stages; with an anthemic chorus yearning for singalongs. With a melody of rolling riffs, jangly rhythms and an exhilarating rawness, Southbound solidifies this as a shimmering sunkissed debut. Their latest single, ‘Chameleon’, adopts a more relaxed tone, with a sense of calm that invites reflection. It highlights the band's impressive musicianship and versatility, demonstrating their ability to shift gears without losing the raw edge that defines their indie rock sound.
