This Feeling’s highly anticipated tour of the year kicked off Tuesday night at the legendary Welsh venue ‘Clwb Ifor Bach’. With two local bands performing that night with an extra two amazing upcoming bands in the music industry, it was surely a line-up hard to beat.
Hailing from the Rhondda, regular performers The Pitchforks opened up the show with a brand new, unreleased track that had the smaller crowd, at the time, up and bouncing. Their already released tunes and crowd pleasers certainly heightened the atmosphere.
Brighton indie rockers Lacuna Bloome played their debut Cardiff show that night. With choruses that blew the crowd away and riffs that surely had feet stomping with their rhythmic melodies, the band surely went away with a few extra Welsh fans!
Main support, hailing from Birmingham, The Surrenders, introduced themselves quite uniquely. This was, as well, their debut Cardiff show. With the biggest crowd so far - they belted out each track with their highly energetic riffs, vocals and beats. The crowd immersed themselves in their live show.
Lastly, Welsh favourites, Trampolene, gave it their all. Introducing themselves in a very patriotic way, the trio took to the stage whilst being backed by the Welsh national anthem - with the bellowing chants of the crowd singing along. What a way to start!
The band then went into track ‘Under The Strobe Lights’ - the crowd went wild. ‘Alcohol Kiss’ with its energetic riffs, catchy choruses and pounding drum beats was one hell of a crowd pleaser. Their short rendition of ‘Wonderwall’ had people screaming back to the indie classic.
The crowd throughout the night were at their peak - angsty and energetically powered. The jam-packed show was certainly one not to be missed. The night ended with an invasion, an eager crowd just waiting to share the stage with one of the wildest bands on the scene, and a fan favourite ‘’Poundland’.
